The Importance of Antioxidants

Using antioxidant serums year round is a must.  In the summer we tote antioxidants for their protective qualities when layered with sunscreen and the same is true in the winter months.  Some of us can upgrade to more emollient formulas in the winter for an extra boost of hydration.  If you don’t already have a facial antioxidant you love, Skinceuticals CE Ferulic Acid and Phloretin CF are highly recommended.  Antioxidant serums are a must in your skin care routine to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, to improve the appearance of discoloration for a more even, radiant skin tone, and for visibly firmer looking skin.

Skinceuticals CE Ferulic Acid and Phloretin CF serums have a few similarities.  Both of them have proven antioxidant protection that provide advanced environmental protection against damaging free radicals such as UVA, UVB, IRA, and pollution that age the skin.  There are a few notable differences between the two serums. While both are suitable for normal skin, CE Ferulic Acid is also suitable for dry and sensitive skin types while Phloretin CF is best for oily to combination skin types.  CE Ferulic Acid contains vitamin E and will improve firmess, reduce wrinkles, and brighten your complexion.  Phloretin CF reduces the appearance of discoloration while improving skin tone, improves radiance, retextures skin, and diminishes lines.
